Through close cooperation with various product specialists within the bank, such as Lending, ECM, DCM, Global Cash Clearing and M&A Advisory, we offer banks integrated solutions.
First result will be that you as a intern get good insight in the CIB businessline and all the products that are involved in the relationship that we have with other FI’s, ranging from ECM, M&A and DCM to payments and lending. But also interact with ALM/Treasury and Risk, prepare Managing Board meetings and travel to your clients. Also, you will gain a broad network that you will benefit from our entire career within ABN AMRO.
You are an enthusiastic and flexible person with a pro-active working attitude. You have analytical skills combined with an eye for detail. You are a quick learner and good in multitasking. Further, you possess the ability to quickly understand complex transactions which fit the client’s needs while maintaining a modest risk profile for the Bank. You are available for a period of approximately 6 months, for 40 hours a week. You are serious about pursuing your career in the banking industry.
- University education with good grades
- Relevant extracurricular activities demonstrating your interest in the financial sector

What we offer
We offer you an insight in the world of Corporate and Institutional Banking within ABN AMRO, in particular Financial Institutions. A fantastic rotation where you gain a wealth of practical experience in an environment where there is plenty of room to learn and develop.The whole Financial Institutions department consist of approximately 65 FTE. You will join the Dutch team which has 8 (senior) coverage bankers and two junior bankers, based in Amsterdam. Next to a presence in Amsterdam, Financial Institutions has a presence in London, Paris and Frankfurt. The team is characterized by an open and flat structure. Each of the Bankers is responsible for its own region, and you will support them in the day-to-day activities in your during your rotation in researching market developments, work on client pitches, establish your network. Interact with product teams, prepare a client visit and develop industry knowledge. Apart from this, you will dedicate time on further developing the fintech strategy that we as financial institutions are developing, and further analyzing the potential.
